On the October 31st 2022 – Fr John Horan, the Rector of the Salesian community in Pallaskenry joyfully welcomed two Salesian confreres from India, Brs Jerin Antony Samy and Aswin Pilavendran. They just arrived in Ireland last week.
In the morning, all the community members gathered in the oratory to celebrate the Eucharist and prayed especially for the two new Salesians as they are about to begin their year of practical training here in Pallaskenry.
At lunch time, we gathered in the community refectory to share a lovely fraternal meal. The foods were well prepared by our two new members of the Salesians community. The foods were just delicious.
As Salesians of Don Bosco, we usually mark our special occasions by gathering around the table of the Eucharist, the table of the fraternal meal, and in the playground. Therefore, in the afternoon, we spent over one hour to play table tennis. We enjoyed the game, and we had a great time together.
We believe that brothers Aswin and Jerin are a wonderful gifts for the community and for the young people in our ministries.
May our good God bless them and all of us in our faith journey together.
